162586 101-s-933 1990-07-12 RECOMMIT CONFERENCE REPORT WITH INSTRUCTIONS - The motion to recommit the conference report with instructions is not debatable. The provisions of the motion direct the House conferees to insist on inclusion of the amendment of Mr. Chapman of Texas which reads as follows: "(d) FOOD HANDLING JOBS.--It shall not be a violation of this Act for an employer to refuse to assign or continue to assign any employee with an infectious disease or communicable disease of public health significance to a job involving food handling, provided that the employer shall make reasonable accomodation that would offer an alternative employment opportunity for which the employee is qualified and for which the employee would sustain no economic damage."
