Directs the Secretary, in conducting such projects, to consider: (1) alternative benefits that encompass a range of outpatient services that are particularly appropriate to individuals suffering from such a progressive, chronic illness; and (2) providing alternative benefits in a manner that is analogous to the manner in which benefits for hospice care are made available under Medicare.
