Watkins, Wes [D-OK-3] OK D W000194 2 1984 White House Conference on International Trade Act - Declares that it is the policy of the Congress that the Federal Government should develop and implement a policy for expanding the participation of the United States in international trade. Authorizes the President to call a White House Conference on International Trade in order to develop recommendations for further research and action in international trade. Requires the Conference to bring together representatives of Federal, State, and local governments, professional and lay people, and academics. Requires a final report of the Conference, which shall include a statement of comprehensive national policy on international trade, to be submitted to the President within 180 days after the Conference adjourns. Authorizes appropriations. 2025-08-29T17:38:16Z
