Simon, Paul [D-IL-22] IL D S000423 0 Energy Antimonopoly Act of 1984 - Amends the Clayton Act to prohibit any major oil producer from: (1) merging or consolidating with any person engaged in commerce; (2) obtaining control over another person through the acquisition of stock or other share capital; or (3) acquiring a majority of the assets of another person if such person has assets exceeding $100,000,000. Defines a major oil producer as any person which alone or with subsidiaries produced within the United States, or had interests in, a total of 35,000,000 barrels or more of crude oil, condensate, or natural gas liquids during calendar year 1982. 2025-08-29T17:37:39Z
