[R-RI] RI R C000269 0 White House Conference on Education Act - Authorizes the President to call a White House Conference on Education not later than June 30, 1981. Sets forth the purpose and composition of the Conference. Requires that the Conference be planned and conducted under the direction of the Secretary of Education. Requires that a final report of the Conference be submitted to the President, made public, and transmitted to the Congress with recommendations. Sets forth provisions for the administration of the Conference, including a requirement that the Secretary report to the Congress annually during the three-year period following the final report of the Conference. Authorizes appropriations to carry out this Act. Prohibits the use of funds, other than those appropriated pursuant to this resolution, appropriated to the Department of Education and the National Institute of Education, from carrying out such purposes. 2025-08-29T19:50:31Z
