Bailey, Wendell [R-MO-8] MO R B000047 1 Terminates the authorization for the Meramec Park Lake flood control project in the Upper Mississippi River Basin, Missouri. Directs the Secretary of the Army, acting through the Chief of Engineers, to manage and maintain the works, structures, and interests in lands related to such project and to assess alternatives for their future disposition. Requires that the Secretary hold at least two public hearings in the area of the project. Directs the Secretary to consult with the Governor of Missouri throughout the study. Requires that the Secretary report to Congress on such study. Declares that nothing in this Act shall terminate the authority or responsibility of the United States to satisfy all relocation assistance and other obligations arising out of the acquisition of any interest in real estate. Authorizes appropriations for the purposes of this Act. 2024-02-07T16:02:17Z
