Bayh, Birch [D-IN] IN D B000254 1 Authorizes staff members of the subcommittee of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary (which investigates activities of individuals representing the interests of foreign governments) to take depositions and receive evidence under oath administered by local law officials. Deems employees of the Office of Senate Legal Counsel to be staff members for purposes of this resolution. Grants the subcommittee the authority to place in the record sworn testimony and evidence obtained at its public or executive sessions. Authorizes the subcommittee to issue subpoenas and to delegate the power to issue deposition notices to its Chairman and Vice Chairman. Directs the subcommittee to publish its rules of procedure pursuant to this resolution in the Congressional Record. 2021-06-14T19:52:16Z
