[R-NY] NY R J000064 1 Contraceptive Labeling and Advertising Act - Amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to require that the label for contraceptive drugs and devices state: (1) the range of effectiveness of such drugs and devices in preventing contraception in humans; (2) the directions for use; and (3) that professional advice should be sought to determine the most appropriate form of contraception. Requires information labeling to accompany such drug or device which summarizes the benefits and risks and states adequate directions for use and storage. Requires advertisements and other printed descriptive matter issued with respect to such drug or device to contain information respecting the range of effectiveness based upon clinical and use testing results. 2025-09-02T13:56:56Z
