Heinz, John [R-PA] PA R H000456 0 Amends the Solid Waste Disposal Act to provide for criminal penalties against any person who: (1) knowingly generates, stores, treats, transports, disposes of, or otherwise handles any hazardous waste (whether such activity took place before or takes place after the date of the enactment of this Act) and who disposes, alters, or conceals any record maintained with respect to the generation, storing, treatment, transportation, disposal, or other handling of hazardous waste; or (2) transports, treats, stores, or disposes of any hazardous waste identified or listed under specified provisions of such Act in reckless disregard of the fact of thereby causing or creating a substantial danger or risk to human life or health. Increases the maximum penalty for first convictions of specified violations of such Act to $50,000 per day of each violation and/or two years imprisonment. Defines "reckless" for purposes of specified violations of such Act. 2025-01-14T17:12:38Z
