[R-OH-10] | OH | R | M000718 | 6 | Alcohol Fuel Additive Act - Establishes a National Advisory Committee to assist the Secretary of Agriculture in conducting, promoting, and sponsoring basic and applied research, technology development, and technology transfer leading to effective and economical methods for farm operations and the extraction and production of alcohol from sweet sorghum or other hydrocarbon-containing agriculture crops (except timber). Directs the Secretary to establish and maintain a bank of this research data and to make it available to other Federal and State agencies and private persons. Authorizes the Secretary, in consultation with the Secretary of State, to enter into cooperative projects with foreign governments to accomplish the purpose of this Act. Directs the Secretary to make a status report to the President and Congress no later than December 31, 1980, and each year through 1982 concerning research and development with respect to this Act and recommended funding levels for various elements of the overall project.
