Nowak, Henry [D-NY-37] NY D N000163 0 Amends the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to authorize the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to make grants to States, municipalities, and regional agencies to assist in financing the operation and maintenance of publicly owned treatment works, constructed with grants awarded under such Act if such facility provides secondary treatment and if the cost of providing such secondary treatment in any fiscal year exceeds twice the cost of the primary treatment provided by the applicant in the last fiscal year. Limits the amount of such grant to 75 percent of this excess cost. Authorizes appropriations of $80,000,000 to carry out this Act for fiscal years 1980 and 1981. 2024-08-01T20:06:38Z
