[D-CA-34] CA D H000166 0 Establishes the National Commission on Housing for the Elderly which shall have responsibility for investigating (1) present Federal programs to provide low-and middle- income housing for senior citizens; (2) the need for additional housing; (3) the feasibility of rehabilitating existing central city housing; (4) the need for activities and a living environment which provides adequate security; and (5) the need for physical, social, cultural and religious activities in senior citizen communities. Sets forth the membership of such Commission. Requires the Commission to submit to the President and the Congress a report on the investigation together with its recommendations, not later than 18 months after the date on which a majority of the membership is appointed. Authorizes to be appropriated such funds as are necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act. 2024-08-01T19:56:56Z
