[R-NM] NM R D000407 6 Directs the President to establish an Office of Hispanic Affairs within specified executive departments and agencies. Provides that such office shall participate in all policy planning and development for all programs which affect the Hispanic communities. Authorizes the President to take such measures as he determines are necessary to instruct the chairpersons of the ten Federal regional councils to insure that the problems and needs of Hispanics are taken into consideration in decisions related to Federal assistance to State and local governments. Provides that the Secretary of Commerce shall establish and maintain a Hispanic Information Clearinghouse which shall collect, analyze, and disseminate information concerning the social, economic, employment, health, and housing needs and conditions of Hispanics. 2025-01-14T19:03:55Z
