Church, Frank [D-ID] ID D C000388 0 Mid-Way Conference on Aging Resolution - Directs the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare to call a conference on Toward Longer Independent Living in Aging to be held by April 30, 1977, in order to develop recommendations and stimulate a national assessment of problems, and solutions to problems, facing older Americans who are living or seek to live outside of institutions for the aged. Provides that the Secretary shall establish working groups to advise him on matters related to the purposes of the conference set forth in this resolution. Requires each working group to submit to the Secretary not later than March 30, 1977, a report on its area of responsibility. Directs the Conference to submit a final report to the President and to the Congress not later than 120 days following the date on which the conference is held. Authorizes necessary appropriations to carry out the provisions of this resolution. 2025-09-02T18:50:28Z
