Public Lands and Natural Resources 1976-05-27 1976-10-01 Measure passed Senate, amended. Senate Sen. Burdick, Quentin N. [D-ND] ND D B001077 2 (Reported to Senate from the Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs with amendment, S. Rept. 94-1355) Increases the size of the Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site, North Dakota and Montana, by 50 acres. Increases the amount authorized to be used for land acquisition and development of such site to $8,500,000. Increases the amount authorized to be used for land acquisition for the Sawtooth National Recreation area in Idaho to $42,802,000. Requires contractors engaged in tree planting or thinning on Federal lands to submit to the appropriate Secretary a certification that all laborers and suppliers have been fully paid for their services. Prohibits final payment of contract funds until such certification is received. Specifies legal procedures to be followed by aggrieved laborers and suppliers under this Act. 2025-04-23T11:41:33Z
