[D-ND] ND D B001077 0 Divides the fifth judicial circuit into the eastern and western divisions. Designates Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and the Canal Zone as the eastern division; and designates Louisiana and Texas as the western division. Directs the President to appoint three additional judges for the Eastern Division of the Fifth Circuit and five additional judges for the Western Division of the Fifth Circuit. Provides that where jurisdiction for a judicial review of orders or action by a Federal agency is placed by statute in a circuit with two or more divisions, the venue shall be in the division where the petitioner resides or has its principal office, unless the statute clearly specifies otherwise. Makes specified technical amendments to carry out the provisions of this Act. 2025-07-21T19:32:26Z
