Young, Don [R-AK-At Large] AK R Y000033 0 Provides that employees of the Bureau of Indian Affairs or the Indian Health Service shall be entitled to an annuity after twenty years service if such employee meets the following conditions: (1) is separated from the service on or before December 31, 1984, after completing twenty years of service; (2) was employed in the Bureau or Service continuously from June 17, 1974, to the date of separation; (3) is not otherwise entitled to full retirement benefits; and (4) is not an Indian entitled to a preference in personnel actions. Allows the Secretary of the Interior or the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare to delay for one year the effective date of any separation from the service under the provisions of this Act. Directs that the provisions of this Act only apply to employees separated from the service on and after June 17, 1974. (Amends 5 U.S.C. 8336, 8339,8341 and 8344) 2024-08-01T19:25:41Z
