[D-CA-29] | CA | D | H000367 | 0 | Civil Rights Enforcement Office Act - Creates an independent agency of the Federal Government to be known as the Civil Rights Enforcement Office States that such office shall have jurisdiction to enforce all provisions of the Constitution protecting and securing the civil rights of U.S. citizens and to enforce the Civil Rights Acts of the United States. States that in all cases in which agents of the Federal Government are the object of legal action in respect to protecting civil rights such office shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Defines "Civil rights" to include (1) the right to privacy; (2) the right of freedom of speech; (3) the right to be free from unwarranted searches and seizures; and (4) the right to full and free access to information concerning the operation of government.
