[D-MN-6] MN D N000127 0 Amends Title XVI (Supplemental Security Income for the Aged, Blind and Disabled) of the Social Security Act to exclude from income, for purposes of determining eligibility and amount of benefits under the supplemental security income program, the first $2,600 per year (or proportionately smaller amounts for shorter periods) of earned income from employment in a sheltered work setting operated, managed, or supervised by a public or nonprofit private agency, plus one-half of the remainder thereof. Defines "sheltered work setting" as a facility, project, or enterprise engaged in a production or service operation which is conducted primarily to provide professional services or employment to individuals who, because of medically determinable physical or mental impairments, are not capable of entering the competitive labor market. 2024-08-01T19:33:42Z
