Fish, Hamilton, Jr. [R-NY-25] NY R F000141 0 Provides, under the Immigration and Nationality Act, that any refugee paroled into the United States after March 31, 1975, from the Republic of Viet Nam, Laos, or Cambodia, present in the United States for two years shall be granted permanent resident status if found to be admissable by an immigration officer. Permits other nationals or residents of such countries who were paroled into the United States before such date to be admitted as permanent residents. Admits such persons without regard to immigration quotas. Disqualifies from the provisions of this Act those persons who ordered, assisted, or otherwise participated in the persecution of any person because of race, religion, or political opinion. 2024-08-01T19:32:26Z
