[D-NY-8] NY D R000442 0 Visa and Naturalization Administration Act - Establishes in the executive branch an independent agency to be known as the Visa and Naturalization Administration to which are transferred: (1) the functions, powers, and duties of the Visa Office of the Bureau of Security and Consular Affairs in the Department of State, and the functions, powers, and duties of the Secretary of State with respect to such Office; (2) specified functions, powers, and duties of the Secretary of Labor; (3) the functions, powers, and duties of the Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization; and (4) the functions, powers, and duties of the Attorney General under the Immigration and Nationality Act except those functions, powers, and duties pertaining to the enforcement of a final order of deportation. Creates an Office of Inspector General to investigate each program administered by the Administration and to report to Congress concerning complaints and investigations with respect to Administration programs. 2025-09-02T18:47:14Z
