Authorizes the committee to examine past, present, and projected intelligence operations and policies of the United States Government, and to determine the role of such operations in supporting the decisionmaking of the United States Government, and the impact of such operations on national security and the conduct of foreign policy. Directs the select committee to make an interim report to the appropriate committee of the Senate not later than June 30, 1975, and to make a final report not later than January 31, 1974. States that such final report shall contain the findings of the committee together with recommendations respecting the management of intelligence operations within the executive branch, the appropriate role of Congress, the appropriate function of varying types of intelligence activites, and recommendations requesting any appropriate legislative action.
