93-s-4257 93 s 4257 A bill to amend title 10, United States Code, to prevent discrimination against the Armed Forces of the United States in the supply of petroleum products. Energy 1974-12-19 1974-12-19 Referred to Senate Committee on Government Operations. Senate Sen. Jackson, Henry M. [D-WA] WA D J000013 1 Prohibits discrimination against the United States armed forces in the supply of petroleum products. Directs the Secretary of Defense to conduct an investigation whenever he has reason to believe that there has been such discrimination and to refer the matter to the Attorney General if he determines that there has been. Grants the United States district courts jurisdiction to prevent and restrain such discrimination. Provides that an appeal from a final order of a district court may be made only to the Supreme Court. Grants access to all business records of a person or corporation being investigated to the Secretary or his agent. Provides for a fine of not more than $100,000 or imprisonment for not more than 2 years, or both, for the willful violation of this Act. (Adds 10 U.S.C. 2390-2396) 2025-01-14T19:03:55Z
