Gude, Gilbert [R-MD-8] | MD | R | G000513 | 0 | Bicentennial Constitutional Commission Act - Establishes a Bicentennial Constitutional Commission to study and make recommendations with respect to proposed amendments to the Constitution and laws of the United States which would modify the institutions of the three branches of the Federal Government and their interrelationship. Makes it the duty of the Commission to study and make recommendations with respect to: (1) proposed amendments to the Constitution of the United States introduced in the five most recent Congresses which would modify the executive, judicial, or legislative institutions of the Federal Government or the relationships among such institutions; (2) proposals for alterations made by constitutional scholars, and attorneys and other interested persons; and (3) such statutory proposals or rule changes which the Commission deems relevant to the strength of the Federal system. Provides for the membership of the Commission. Requires a final report not later than July 1, 1976, which shall contain a detailed statement of the findings and conclusions of the Commission, together with its recommendations for such actions as it deems appropriate.
