Scott, Tim [R-SC] SC R S001184 3 This bill authorizes U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to refund any merchandise processing fees when an imported good is reliquidated to refund excess duties under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. A merchandise processing fee is a processing fee assessed by CBP based on the value of the merchandise being imported, not including duty, freight, and insurance charges. Currently, a merchandise processing fee may not be refunded when an imported good is reliquidated to refund excess duties. 2023-01-11T13:46:18Z
