Applies to such duty the same minimum service requirements applicable to a period of active duty. Increases from $300 to $500 the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) payment for funeral expenses of a veteran who: (1) at the time of death was in receipt of veterans' disability compensation or pension, or was a veteran of any war or was discharged or released from active duty for a disability incurred in the line of duty; or (2) dies in a VA hospital, nursing home, or domiciliary care facility. 2023-01-11T13:21:32Z
