McCarthy, Carolyn [D-NY-4] NY D M000309 9 Amends the federal criminal code to make it unlawful for a licensed firearms dealer to authorize an employee to possess or transfer a firearm or ammunition in the course of employment unless such dealer has received a notice from the Attorney General that the receipt of a firearm by such employee would not be unlawful. Requires the Attorney General to notify the dealer in writing or electronically of a determination that the receipt of a firearm by any employee of the dealer would be unlawful and provide the affected employee with an explanation of the grounds for such determination. Provides civil and criminal penalties for knowingly violating the requirements of this Act. 2019-11-15T21:37:54Z
