[D-HI] HI D A000069 4 Education for Retirement Security Act of 2006 - Authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to award a grant to a national entity to carry out a subgrant program for economic and financial education. Requires a grant recipient to award subgrants to enable eligible area entities to deliver economic and financial education programs to mid-life and older individuals who reside in local communities in order to: (1) enhance financial and retirement knowledge; and (2) reduce financial abuse and fraud, including telemarketing, mortgage, and pension fraud and identity theft. Authorizes the Secretary to award grants to eligible entities to: (1) create and make available materials and information that promote economic and financial education; and (2) provide training and assistance regarding the establishment of economic and financial education programs to eligible area entities awarded a subgrant. 2023-01-12T17:52:07Z
