[R-VT] VT R J000072 0 Directs the Secretary of the Army to carry out an assessment of State, municipal, and private dams in Vermont to: (1) determine whether the dams and related structures continue to serve their intended purposes; (2) evaluate their condition; (3) identify any repairs and improvements required to address structural deficiencies; (4) identify dams which warrant removal; and (5) evaluate the need for modifications for environmental enhancement, including the need to modify or remove existing structures or to construct additional structures to provide for fish passage.Requires the Secretary: (1) after completion of the assessment, to implement the recommendations developed under the assessment, including recommendations for modifications to the dams; and (2) pending completion of the assessment, to plan and implement necessary modifications to such dams identified as high or significant hazard dams that pose an imminent threat to life and property.Sets forth cost sharing requirements for non-Federal interests. 2025-01-14T17:12:38Z
