Coble, Howard [R-NC-6] NC R C000556 14 Work Made For Hire and Copyright Corrections Act of 2000 - Amends Federal copyright provisions to remove sound recordings from the list of works covered by the definition of "work made for hire." Makes such amendment effective as of November 29, 1999 (the enactment date of the provision that included sound recordings in such definition).Requires the Register of Copyrights to ensure that records of deposits, registrations, recordations, and other related actions taken under copyright provisions are maintained and that indexes of such records are prepared. (Currently, the Register is required to keep such records in the Copyright Office and to prepare such indexes.)Revises Copyright Office fee provisions. Authorizes the Register to adjust (currently, increase) such fees. 2025-04-07T13:46:39Z
