Levin, Carl [D-MI] | MI | D | L000261 | 0 | Federal Employees Health Benefits Children's Equity Act of 1998 - Amends Federal law concerning the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program to: (1) permit an employee who is required by a court or administrative order to provide health insurance coverage for a child who meets FEHB requirements to enroll for coverage in a health benefits plan if unenrolled or to change to a self and family enrollment if enrolled as an individual; (2) direct the employing agency to enroll the employee in, or to change the employee's enrollment to, a self and family enrollment option which provides the lower level of coverage under the Service Benefit Plan, if such employee fails to enroll for self and family coverage in a health benefits plan that provides full benefits and services in the location in which the child resides and does not provide documentation demonstrating that the required coverage has been provided through other health insurance; and (3) prohibit such employee from discontinuing such coverage for the period that the court or administrative order is in effect, unless the employee provides documentation of coverage through other insurance. | 2025-08-21T16:12:23Z |
