D'Amato, Alfonse [R-NY] NY R D000018 1 Amends the Federal criminal code to require that a person convicted of aggravated sexual abuse after a previous conviction of a State or Federal sexual abuse offense be sentenced to life imprisonment if the abusive conduct occurred in the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States and: (1) that conduct is in interstate or foreign commerce; (2) the person crossed a State line with intent to engage in such conduct; or (3) the person engaging in that conduct thereafter travels in interstate or foreign commerce with intent to avoid prosecution or giving testimony. 2025-07-21T19:32:26Z
