Pryce, Deborah [R-OH-15] OH R P000555 0 Sets forth the rule for the consideration of joint resolutions: (1) waiving certain enrollment requirements with respect to any bill or joint resolution of the 104th Congress making general or continuing appropriations for FY 1997; and (2) appointing the day for convening the first session of the 105th Congress and the day for counting in the Congress of the electoral votes for President and Vice President cast in December 1996. Adopts resolutions to provide: (1) that any organizational caucus or conference in the House of Representatives for the 105th Congress may begin on or after November 15, 1996; and (2) for the printing of a revised edition of the Rules and Manual of the House for the 105th Congress as a House document. Allows: (1) each House committee that is authorized to conduct investigations to file reports to the House thereon following the sine die adjournment of the second session; (2) reports on the House committees in the 104th Congress pursuant to rule XI to be printed as reports of such Congress; (3) the Speaker and minority leader to accept resignations and make appointments to commissions, boards, and committees following the sine die adjournment of the second session as authorized by law or by the House; (4) the chairman and ranking minority member of each standing committee and subcommittee to extend their remarks in the Congressional Record and include a summary of their committee or subcommittee's work; and (5) all Members to extend their remarks in the Record on any matter occurring before the sine die adjournment of the second session. 2025-04-07T15:30:35Z
