[D-HI] HI D I000025 1 TABLE OF CONTENTS: Title I: Housing Assistance Title II: Home Investment Partnerships Title III: Community Development Block Grants Title IV: Housing Standards Title V: General Provisions Native Hawaiian Housing Assistance Act of 1994 - Title I: Housing Assistance - Amends the United States Housing Act of 1937 to direct the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (Secretary) to establish an assisted low-income housing program for Native Hawaiians, including: (1) grants for lower income housing development or acquisition; (2) section 8 assistance; (3) rental assistance; (4) a mutual help home ownership opportunity program; (5) housing modernization; and (6) discretionary contributions for low-income housing project operations. Authorizes appropriations. (Sec. 102) Amends the Housing and Community Development Act of 1992 to authorize the Secretary to guarantee housing loans made to a Native Hawaiian family or a Native Hawaiian Housing Authority. Establishes in the Treasury a Native Hawaiian Housing Loan Guarantee Fund. Authorizes appropriations. Title II: Home Investment Partnerships - Amends the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act to establish Native Hawaiian eligibility and set-asides for the HOME program. Title III: Community Development Block Grants - Amends the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 to establish Native Hawaiian eligibility and set-asides for the community development block grant program. Title IV: Housing Standards - Authorizes the Secretary to exempt subdivisions developed by a Native Hawaiian Housing Authority from applicable building codes and standards. Provides for a demonstration project to develop localized housing standards for Native Hawaiian communities. Title V: General Provisions - Authorizes appropriations. 2025-06-20T19:33:16Z
