[D-MD] MD D S000064 2 Directs the Secretary of the Army to establish a pilot program to provide environmental assistance to non-Federal interests in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Requires such assistance to be in the form of design and construction assistance for water-related environmental infrastructure and resource protection and development projects affecting the Bay's estuary. Permits assistance for a project only if it is publicly owned and will be publicly operated and maintained. Sets forth requirements for local cooperation agreements with non-Federal interests. Sets the Federal share at 75 percent of total project costs. Requires the non-Federal share of operation and maintenance costs to be 100 percent. Directs the Secretary to establish at least one project in each of the States of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Authorizes appropriations. 2025-01-14T17:12:38Z
