International Affairs 1992-07-30 1992-07-30 Read twice and referred to the Committee on Foreign Relations. Senate Sen. Leahy, Patrick J. [D-VT] VT D L000174 34 Declares that it is U.S. policy to seek international agreements prohibiting the sale, transfer, or export; limiting the use; and terminating the production, possession, or deployment of antipersonnel landmines. Prohibits for a period of one year from this Act's enactment date: (1) sales, financing, transfers, and the issuance of licenses under the Arms Export Control with respect to antipersonnel landmines; and (2) assistance under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 with respect to the provision of such landmines. 2025-01-14T19:00:46Z
