Brown, Hank [R-CO] CO R B000919 2 Economic Opportunity Act of 1992 - Amends the Social Security Act with regard to the work supplementation program (program) to: (1) allow States to assign participants to existing unfilled positions; (2) allow States to use funds otherwise available for food stamp benefits to provide and subsidize program jobs; (3) require participants to be paid subsidized wages that are at least 125 percent of aid to families with dependent children or food stamp benefits that they would receive if unemployed; and (4) allow States to use for any purpose certain funds attributable to program savings. Amends the Food Stamp Act of 1977 to authorize payments to States in lieu of equivalent food stamp benefits for program participants. 2025-08-26T15:13:32Z
