Jontz, Jim [D-IN-5] IN D J000265 0 Provides that the "fast track" trade agreement implementation procedures of the Trade Act of 1974 shall not apply to an amendment to an implementing bill submitted with respect to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) if the amendment pertains to at least one of the following: (1) monitoring and enforcement of environmental standards; (2) monitoring and enforcement of fair labor standards; (3) rule of origin; (4) dispute resolution; or (5) trade adjustment assistance. Provides that the rules concerning fast track procedures contained in the Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988, as modified by this Act, shall be the rules of the House of Representatives with respect to trade agreement implementation bills. 2024-02-07T14:47:33Z
