Stark, Fortney Pete [D-CA-9] CA D S000810 0 Medical School Assistance Entitlement Act - Amends the Public Health Service Act to replace provisions relating to the Federal program of insured loans to graduate students in health professions schools with provisions entitling eligible individuals to payments for medical or osteopathic school attendance costs from the Trust Fund established by this Act. Limits lifetime payments. Amends the Internal Revenue Code to impose an additional individual income tax on any individual (and the individual's spouse) who received such payments. Establishes the Medical School Assistance Trust Fund, appropriating to it the taxes imposed by this Act. Authorizes appropriations to the Trust Fund, as repayable advances, as necessary to make the payments. 2025-08-26T15:17:48Z
