Pelosi, Nancy [D-CA-5] CA D P000197 8 San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary Restoration Act of 1990 - Amends the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to direct the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to establish an Executive Council of the San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary and an Office of the San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary. Directs the Executive Council to oversee and coordinate implementation of the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan for the San Francisco Estuary. Requires the Director of the Office to: (1) support implementation of the Management Plan; (2) conduct or commission research and other activities necessary for strengthened implementation of the Management Plan; (3) coordinate grant, research, and planning programs; (4) coordinate activities with other Federal agencies which have jurisdiction over the Estuary, the federally approved State coastal management program for San Francisco Bay, and national and regional marine monitoring and research programs; (5) carry out the Council's public education program; and (6) convene conferences for purposes of coordinating Federal, State, and local legislative efforts to facilitate the environmental restoration of the Estuary and implementation of the Management Plan. Authorizes the Administrator, acting through the Director, to make grants for projects to implement the Management Plan. Sets forth limitations on Federal funding. Authorizes appropriations. 2025-08-26T15:13:31Z
