[R-AK] AK R M001085 0 Expresses the sense of the Senate that: (1) the Departments of Defense (DOD) and Justice (DOJ) should be commended for their efforts to eliminate bid rigging activities at U.S. military facilities in Japan; (2) DOD should conduct a full investigation of all bid rigging allegations at such facilities and seek debarment of all suppliers found to be involved in such activities; (3) DOJ and the Department of State should work with the Japanese Government to ensure that the U.S. Government receives full compensation for overpayments for construction services and goods at Yokosuka Naval base, Japan, that occurred as a result of anticompetitive bidding practices that have been formally documented by the Japanese Government; and (4) DOJ should investigate the U.S. activities of Japanese firms engaged in bid rigging at U.S. military facilities in Japan to determine whether or not these firms are also engaging in anticompetitive activities in the United States. 2025-01-14T19:00:46Z
