Heinz, John [R-PA] PA R H000456 8 Declares that the Senate strongly objects to: (1) the inclusion of offset provisions in the memorandum of understanding (MOU) governing the proposed co-production by the United States and the Republic of Korea of the Korean Fighter Program; (2) the transfer of U.S. aerospace technology to such country; and (3) the failure of the executive branch to adhere to specified sections of the National Defense Authorization Act, Fiscal 1989, relating to coordination of the negotiation of defense MOUs. Expresses the sense of the Senate that the President should instruct the Secretary of Defense to postpone the signing of such MOU until: (1) a thorough review of such program is conducted by the Comptroller General; and (2) a specified report is submitted by the Republic of Korea to the Committees on Foreign Relations and Armed Services. 2025-01-14T19:00:46Z
