Kohl, Herb [D-WI] WI D K000305 1 Fox River National Heritage Corridor Act of 1990 - Establishes the Fox River National Heritage Corridor in Wisconsin to preserve the area within and surrounding the Fox River. Establishes the Fox River National Heritage Corridor Commission to assist Federal, State, and local authorities in the development and implementation of an integrated resource management plan for the preservation and restoration of the Corridor in a manner supporting appropriate and compatible economic revitalization and expansion efforts. Requires the plan to be submitted to the Secretary of the Interior for approval. Terminates the Commission five years after the enactment of this Act unless it has been granted an extension. Directs the Secretary to assist the Commission in designing and producing interpretive materials based on the plan after it has been approved and to provide technical assistance to the Commission upon request. Requires the Secretary, in consultation with the Governor of Wisconsin, to conduct an assessment of the historic linkage of the Corridor and the Lower Wisconsin River. Requires any Federal entity conducting or supporting activities directly affecting the flow of the canal or the natural resources of the Corridor to: (1) consult with the Secretary and the Commission; (2) cooperate with the Secretary and the Commission in carrying out duties under this Act and coordinate such activities with such duties; and (3) conduct or support those activities in a manner consistent with the plan and this Act.
