[D-TX] TX D B000401 4 Amends the Higher Education Act of 1965 to add to the list of professional or graduate institutions eligible for special grants to improve graduate educational opportunities for Black and low-income students the following: (1) Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University and/or Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (Graduate Program); (2) North Carolina Central University School of Law; (3) Southern University School of Law; (4) Florida A & M College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Graduate Program); and (5) Xavier University of Louisiana School of Pharmacy (Graduate Program). Removes "independent" as an eligibility qualification for receiving grants. Sets forth funding rules for distribution of such grants to such additional institutions as well as to those institutions already on such list. 2025-04-21T12:24:17Z
