[D-MA] MA D K000105 2 Authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services, through the Director of the National Institutes of Health, to reserve a specified amount of funding, out of FY 1990 through 1991 appropriations to carry out title IV of the Public Health Service Act, to contract to have constructed a biomedical research facility for developing and breeding specialized strains of mice, including inbred and mutant mice. Sets forth requirements with respect to such contract, including: (1) a 20-year obligation by the applicant to use the facility only to breed specialized mice for biomedical research; (2) the applicant must agree to contribute 25 percent of certain costs incurred in carrying out the contract; and (3) provisions regarding failure to comply with agreements. Requires the Secretary to convene an expert panel to advise him with respect to the construction plan required by this Act. 2025-04-21T12:24:17Z
