Saxton, Jim [R-NJ-13] NJ R S000097 1 Species Introduction and Control Act of 1990 - Prohibits any entity from introducing a fish or wildlife species into an ecosystem to which the species is not indigenous unless: (1) the entity submits a proposal to the Secretary of the Interior, through the Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; (2) the protocols and procedures of this Act are followed; and (3) the States likely to be affected approve. Directs the Secretary to develop protocols for evaluating proposed introductions, including specified steps. Sets forth procedures for submitting proposals. Requires proponents of an introduction to take certain monitoring and controlling actions. Sets forth civil and criminal penalties for violations of this Act. 2025-08-26T17:25:47Z
