[D-NY-16] NY D R000053 7 Amends the Internal Revenue Code to: (1) make the limitation on cover over of tax on distilled spirits inapplicable to articles brought into the United States after September 16, 1989, and before September 17, 1992; and (2) apply the tax credit for investments in a possession to investments in projects relating to the repair or replacement of property damaged by Hurricane Hugo. Amends the Supplemental Appropriations and Rescission Act, 1980 to provide a temporary waiver of reimbursement by the Virgin Islands of customs collection costs. Authorizes the use of surplus amounts in the account of Puerto Rico in the Unemployment Trust Fund for: (1) projects relating to the repair or replacement of property damaged by Hugo; and (2) public service employment related to disaster reconstruction in areas in which private sector employment and training opportunities have been reduced or eliminated as a result of Hugo. 2024-02-07T16:32:33Z
