Revises Council membership provisions. Provides that, in the absence of the Vice President, the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration shall preside over Council meetings. Directs the Council to advise the President with respect to the following functions: (1) survey of ongoing civilian space activities; (2) review of long-range goals for civilian space activities; (3) coordination of civilian space activities among civilian agencies and with agencies involved in national security space activities; and (4) interagency cooperation in civilian space activities. Directs the Council to establish a Users' Advisory Group composed of nine non-Federal representatives of industries and other persons involved in space activities. Directs the Vice President to name a Chairman of the Users' Advisory Group. Requires the Council to meet at least once a year with the Users' Advisory Group, whose function it is to ensure that the interests of non-Federal entities involved in space activities, including in particular commercial entities, are adequately represented in the Council. | 2025-01-14T18:51:33Z |
