| E9-8309 | Airworthiness Directives; Honeywell International Inc. TFE731 Series Turbofan Engines | Proposed Rule | The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Honeywell International Inc. TFE731 series turbofan engines with certain second and third stage low-pressure compressor rotor (LPCR) discs installed. This proposed AD would require removing from service, certain second and third stage LPCR discs, part numbers (P/Ns) 3072396- 1, 3072397-1, 3075109-1, or 2075192-1. This proposed AD results from a report of cracks found during a fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) of the disc bore. We are proposing this AD to prevent an uncontained failure of a second and third stage LPCR disc due to cracks in the bore, which could result in damage to the airplane. | 2009-04-13 | 2009 | 4 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2009/04/13/E9-8309/airworthiness-directives-honeywell-international-inc-tfe731-series-turbofan-engines | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2009-04-13/pdf/E9-8309.pdf | Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration | 492,159 | The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Honeywell International Inc.
