E8-22067 Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards; Electronic Stability Control Systems; Controls and Displays Rule On April 6, 2007, NHTSA published a final rule establishing a new Federal motor vehicle safety standard requiring light vehicles to be equipped with electronic stability control systems.
